Bruckner Symphony No. 9
There are two specific recordings of the ninth we recommend specifically for this concert, which shed light on the finale. The Harnoncourt has a lecture on the finale, the Wildner has one of the earlier editions of the completion.

Nikolaus Harnoncourt/Wiener Philharmoniker
Johannes Wildner/New Philharmonic Orchestra of Westphalia

Wagner - Parsifal (Prelude)
For the complete opera we recommend Hans Knappertsbusch with Bayreuth Festival Chorus and Orchestra, or for the Prelude on its own Roger Norrington with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, which also includes Tchaikovsky's Symphony no. 6.

Norrington/Stuttgart RSO
